Alex Szomora

Alex is a venture fellow, focusing on consumer and enterprise solutions at VU Venture Partners, a SF based VC with offices in NY, HK. She was part of a new fund initiative called blockchain.xii aimed to providing seed fund that backs crypto and blockchain startups that are building innovative solutions leveraging the blockchain technology including DeFi, NFT and infrastructure and has spoken to hundreds of crypto start-ups. As of October 2021, she is also an Insignia VA venture fellow. She is coming from tech and cyber security background, utilized blockchain technology for identity, security and privacy use cases. She has personal relationships with various general and crypto funds. She is a mentor and angel investor, with a diversified portfolio containing traditional, tech and crypto companies as well. She is an ambitious delivery focused international senior manager, recently supporting a tech company as a director. She is hands-on, independent, data-driven and goal-oriented with a strong desire to deliver high quality solutions. She builds strong bonds internally and with business partners while demonstrating critical thinking, creativity and problem solving.
