Sherene has over 20 years of asset management experience in 2 firms with working experience in Singapore, London, New York and Milan. She has spent 6 as a portfolio manager covering Asia-Pacific Equities for the GIC before transferring to J.P. Morgan Asset Management in London. She worked as part of the Asia-Pacific Equities team for 10 years working as an Investment Specialist, representing the strategies to clients globally, before being made the head of the team in 2011. Sherene helped to start up the Beta Strategies Group within JPMAM in 2016, with the goal of building out the factor-based strategies across all asset classes, long-only as well as long-short, and in a variety of vehicles, ranging from ETFs to segregated accounts.
In mid-2020, Sherene became the CEO of Singapore and South East Asia for JPMAM, based in Singapore. In addition, she chairs the Investment Committee and is a trustee director for the JPMorgan UK Retirement Plan.
