Head of Artificial Intelligence at ADVANCE.AI, Dr Wang leads a team of 120+ engineers, data scientists and researchers to develop AI and big data solutions that can be applied to customer onboarding, fraud and risk management primarily within the banking, financial services and ecommerce sector. Some examples of this include Liveness Detection, facial biometrics/digital identity verification and facial comparison with OCR from national ID cards. ADVANCE.AI processes &gt;100M monthly API calls with 99.4% OCR accuracy, and partners with 800+ enterprise clients, including Bank Jago, Bank BTPN, Tokopedia, MNC Bank, Bank Mega, Standard Chartered and Gojek. Dr Wang has 15+ years experience in AI industries. Prior to ADVANCE.AI, he was a Research Fellow (post doctorate) at National University of Singapore before embarking on a corporate career as associate director of Video Analytics and Machine Learning at NCS Group and Chief Technology Officer at KAI Square, a security solutions company. He received his Ph.D. from Shanghai Jiao Tong University and Master’s and Bachelor’s degrees from Harbin Institute of Technology.
