J.P. Morgan Online International is the secure portal for all J.P. Morgan International Private Bank clients to digitally monitor their portfolios, access research, self-execute transactions and self-service their investments and accounts. It is available to clients on web, mobile and tablet devices across seven languages. As the technology lead and product owner of J.P. Morgan Online International (JPOI), Geeta Ganesh has led a global team to successfully deliver the high-profile modernization project for JPOI, drawing on all her experience, technical knowledge and leadership skills. The need to modernize JPOI is essential to support future business growth the importance, as reiterated by Mary Erodes, Chief Executive Officer of J.P. Morgan Asset & Wealth Management, during her Investor Day 2022 presentation, who said “delivering technology at a global scale, at speed, that has the agility to rapid changes… Modernizing our infrastructure and applications is critical to our long-term success.” To make sure JPOI foundations can scale to meet immediate and long-term needs of the firm, Geeta and her team were required to: • Re-write 150,000 lines of codes • Re-design 300 screens across all platforms • Hold 120+ hours of oversight and governance meetings across multiple time zones • Manage 2,000 JIRA stories across 48 components Under Geeta's exceptional leadership, the team successfully completed the 12+ months infrastructure modernization program. This directly resulted in: • 20% faster time-to-market, strengthened development capabilities through the adoption of latest public cloud standards, and a “federated architecture” allowing simultaneous software developments • Reduction of costs through centralization of data management centers. • Best-in-class client experiences with simplified client navigations and a new design library with updated visual brand and navigation. • Operational excellence through increased automated testing to 70%, thereby reducing cost and complexity for new deployments • Reduction of risks through enhanced site reliability engineering and proactive issues alerts and monitoring The program demonstrated the exceptional abilities of Geeta as a Product Lead and for J.P. Morgan, enabling JPOI to deliver exceptional client experience through an innovation-led platform that can scale and operate efficiently for years to come.
