About GenerationTech:

GenerationTech is J.P. Morgan’s global youth program that debuted in Singapore in September 2021. Last year, the program brought together 70 female secondary students from 15 local schools to brainstorm solutions and use design tools to develop an application to address UN Sustainable Development Goals, such as gender equality or climate action. The students then pitched their solutions to a panel of J.P. Morgan judges, culminating in an awards ceremony recognizing the fantastic solutions from all the teams.

The students were guided by 50 J.P. Morgan volunteers who used their expertise and experience to support and mentor the students to help them understand the role design plays in developing tech solutions. The volunteers acted not only as mentors but role models for females working in technology.

For 2022, building on the success of 2021, J.P. Morgan has collaborated with SG Women in Tech and expanded this program to a 3-week design-based technology challenge for 70 female students, aged 13-17, across more than 20 schools. GenerationTech’s unique value has been recognized by the Singapore government; the Minister of State, Ms. Sun Xueling, will be Guest of Honor at the closing ceremony in August.
