Pei-Si Lai

Pei-Si Lai is Group CEO of GXS Bank, overseeing GXS Bank in Singapore and GX Bank in Malaysia. Prior to taking on the Group CEO role, Pei-Si was the CEO of GX Bank, where she led the pioneer team to launch the first digital bank in Malaysia.
A veteran in the financial services industry, Pei-Si comes with an extensive experience honed over 25 years in retail banking, wealth management, corporate finance, product and business management, as well as governance, in both local and international markets. This includes senior management positions in Standard Chartered Bank in the region and specific markets in Malaysia, Brunei and Singapore.
At GXS Group, Pei-Si has championed and sponsored several partnership initiatives with fintechs, including most recently the acquisition of Validus Capital in Singapore (now GXS Capital).
