Pauline Wray

Pauline has been an invaluable mentor and role model throughout my entrepreneurial journey. I had the pleasure of meeting her during the Singapore Fintech Festival, and since then, her impact on me and GoNsave has been huge. She’s not only a consistent source of support but also a driving force behind our progress, cheering us on, connecting us with key decision-makers, and introducing us to an invaluable network within Singapore’s fintech ecosystem. Our first encounter was unexpected and memorable. It was during the pandemic version of Singapore Fintech Fest, which took place on Microsoft Teams. I was hosting one of Pauline’s meetings, but to my surprise, no one else showed up—it was just the two of us. This turned out to be a golden opportunity. I decided to take advantage of the moment to network with her, and it quickly became clear how extraordinary she was. After the event, I reached out, and we stayed in touch. Over time, our relationship blossomed from a professional connection to a deep mentorship built on mutual respect and shared goals, especially as female leaders in a traditionally male-dominated industry. Pauline opened numerous doors for GoNsave. She connected us with key players like SingLife, GoTime, MoneyHero Group, and even international institutions like the International Development Bank (IDB). These introductions alone had a significant impact on our business, but the most valuable support she provided went far beyond networking. “As a founder—especially a female founder—navigating the fintech world can feel isolating at times.” Pauline has become a pillar of personal and professional support, offering guidance on everything from strategic decisions to navigating the unique challenges we face as women in the industry. One of the toughest hurdles GoNsave faced was securing meaningful partnerships with large players in the financial sector. Pauline not only made those connections possible but also showed me how to foster and nurture those relationships. More than anything, Pauline’s mentorship taught me resilience. She continually encourages me to push forward, no matter what obstacles arise. “She’s an example of how it’s possible to be a successful entrepreneur, a dedicated professional, a mother, and a wife all at once.” Seeing how she balances her responsibilities and overcomes challenges with grace has been so inspiring. Though I won’t share her personal stories, they’ve taught me invaluable lessons in strength, perseverance, and finding success on my own terms. Now, I know that if I ever need support, Pauline will be there. Our relationship has evolved into one of deep trust and mentorship, and her influence on both my personal and professional life is something I will always carry with me.
