Sang Hyuk Kwon is an experienced investment professional currently active in private markets, with a strong track record across Asia in real estate, secured lending, and fintech financing. 

He is presently Investment Professional at Cerberus Capital Management, where he focuses on expanding the firm’s Asia coverage in real estate and structured credit. THE ORG In this role, he brings strategic capital deployment, deal diligence, and execution capabilities to large-scale investments in real assets and credit portfolios.

Prior to joining Cerberus, Sang Hyuk co-founded PrepBox, a startup in the education space; even under challenging conditions, he helped scale it to more than US$250K in annual recurring revenue. 


He was also with PeopleFund, a Bain-backed fintech lender, where he led capital markets solutions and structured financings totalling hundreds of millions, demonstrating deep transactional experience in the fintech lending sector. 


His earlier experience includes senior associate roles at Macquarie Group (Singapore and New York), working in both private investment and capital markets, as well as a stint with The Abraaj Group, where he contributed to private equity investments in emerging markets. 


Academically, Sang Hyuk holds a Master’s in Finance from MIT and a Bachelor’s degree from Wake Forest University, underscoring his strong financial foundation.  He has also fulfilled military service obligations in the Republic of Korea Army and worked as an interpreter for the United Nations Peacekeeping mission, reflecting international exposure and discipline. 

Sang Hyuk’s professional hallmark is his ability to navigate complex cross-border investments, structure deals across real assets and credit, and partner with founders or asset owners to scale business operations. His blend of startup entrepreneurship, institutional investing, and financial markets expertise enables him to bridge risk, innovation, and capital.
