Varun first reached out to me after I gave a talk at an insurance event about how Immortalize is helping people plan their legacies. He was intrigued by our approach and thought it had the potential to make a real difference. Shortly after, we met at his office to exchange ideas, and that conversation would prove to be transformative. After five years of experimentation—testing various projects, products, and services— Immortalize finally cracked the code on how to scale one of our core offerings: the prime concierge service. This service was designed to act as a personal assistant for clients, helping them navigate the intricate process of organizing their legacy and elderhood affairs. We decided to call it the “elderhood planning roboadvisor.”
When I shared this idea with Varun, he immediately saw both the potential and the challenges ahead. His most impactful suggestion was to revise the roboadvisor as the “digital concierge,” a name that not only better explained the service but also helped differentiate it from others. At first glance, the name did not seem revolutionary. But at that moment, we were struggling to find a name that captured what we did clearly and succinctly, while also making a lasting impression.
“In the world of startups, you don’t get much time to pitch your idea—the name must make an
immediate impact to secure attention.”
After our meeting, the Immortalize team fully embraced Varun’s advice. From that point onward, both the name “digital concierge” and the issues he highlighted became our guiding principles as we developed the product and its features.
“Life-changing and insightful conversations don’t always have to be long, and my first meeting with Varun was exactly that.”
In just a short time, his insights left a lasting impact. Since then, Varun has become an invaluable ally, connecting Immortalize with many of his trusted partners. His support hasn’t stopped there—he continues to provide our team with sharp, concise, and incredibly valuable advice that helps drive our vision forward.
